Felicitaciones a los nuevos IEEE Senior Member
Cinco (5) de nuestros miembros profesionales IEEE han sido reconocidos por el Comité de Admisiones y Promociones del IEEE, el pasado 12 de abril en la ciudad de Denver, CO, USA como IEEE Senior Member, gracias a sus sobresalientes desempeños profesionales.
Ing. Marco Aurelio Alzate PhD.
Marco Aurelio Alzate. IEEE Senior Member, es Ingeniero Electrónico de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Magíster en Ingeniería Universidad de los Andes y Doctor en Ingeniería de la Universidad de los Andes, en colaboración con la Universidad de Maryland y la Universidad del Sur de la Florida. Es profesor titular de la Universidad Distrital y profesor catedrático de la Universidad de los Andes en áreas de redes de comunicaciones, procesos estocásticos, tratamiento de señales y teoría de control.
Trabajo para CIE hasta 1989 y a partir de esta fecha se vinculó a la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas como profesor de cátedra; en 1992 lo nombraron profesor titular. El Ing. Marco Aurelio fue parte de la División de Investigación Itec-Telecom hasta el año 1992. En 1991 se vinculó a la Universidad de los Andes como profesor de cátedra.
Obtuvo una beca de Telecom en el año 1989 "Programa de Formación de Investigadores", otra por Colciencias en 1997 "Colciencas Fullbright IIE" y una por la Universidad de los Andes en el 2004 " Formación Doctoral". También recibió un reconocimiento por la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas en 1995 como "Profesor de Excelencia Académica".
Hasta este momento, el Ing. Marco Aurelio Alzate ha publicado un libro titulado: Derivas de Complejidad. Aplicaciones y Mediciones. También ha publicado más de 20 artículos en revistas científicas y más de 30 trabajos de investigación presentados en conferencias nacionales e internacionales. Ha dirigido más de 20 tesis de pregrado y posgrados.
Ing. Daniel Alfonso Sierra PhD.
Daniel Alfonso Sierra. IEEE Senior Member, es Ingeniero Electrónico y Eléctrico de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), con una Especialización en Docencia Universitaria y un Magíster en Ingeniería Eléctrica de la misma Universidad. Doctor en Ingeniería Biomédica de la Universidad de Connecticut, Estados Unidos. Es profesor de la Universidad Industrial de Santander en áreas de control de procesos electrónicos, ingeniería biomédica, modelajes de sistemas biológicos, procesamiento de señales, automatización electrónica de procesos eléctricos e industriales y matemática aplicada.
Trabajo como profesor titular en el Grupo Educativo Marco (GEM) en las áreas de física y matemáticas desde 1996 hasta el 2001, año que se vinculó a la Universidad Industrial de Santander como profesor de cátedra. Fue profesor visitante en el 2003 en la Universidad de Gerona (UDG) como participante del "Programa de Cooperación Interuniversitaria América Latina-España, Convocatoria 2003", de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Interuniversitaria, AECI.
Obtuvo el premio "Andrés Bello" categoría nacional y municipal por el ICFES en el año 1994. Fue becario del programa "Fullbright -DNP-Colciencias II" en el año 2005 y de los programas "Predoctoral Fellowship-Spring" en el 2008 y "Predoctoral Fellowship-Fall" en el 2007 otorgados por la Universidad de Connecticut, Estados Unidos.
Su contribución científica es significativa con 28 trabajos de investigación presentados en conferencias nacionales e internacionales y 16 artículos en revistas científicas. Ha dirigido 8 tesis de posgrados.
Ing. Rodrigo Hidalgo Anfossi MSc.
Rodrigo Alfonso Hidalgo Anfossi. IEEE Senior Member, es Ingeniero Electricista de la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín, con una Maestría en Ingeniería (M.Eng.) de McGill University, Montreal, Canadá, y un Magíster en Economía (M.Econ.) de la Universidad EAFIT, Medellín. En la actualidad se desempeña como profesional de la Gerencia Centros de Excelencia Técnica para la Vicepresidencia Proyectos e Ingeniería del Grupo EPM (Empresas Públicas de Medellín)
Rodrigo tiene una experiencia de 12 años en el negocio de generación de energía para el Grupo EPM desempeñando cargos como ingeniero operación y mantenimiento y profesional técnico generación. Fue asistente de investigación del Laboratorio de Investigación de Ingeniería de Potencia de la Universidad McGill, Montreal, Canadá desde el 2008 hasta el 2010, en las líneas de generación distribuida y redes inteligentes.
Es miembro activo de la IEEE Power and Energy Society (IEEE PES) y de la IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA).
Cuenta con varias publicaciones en temas de generación distribuida, integración de fuentes renovables de energía, almacenamiento de energía, redes inteligentes, e impactos económicos de nuevas tecnologías en los sistemas de potencia.
Ing. Harold Castro PhD.
Harold Castro. IEEE Senior Member, es Ingeniero de Sistemas y Computación de la Universidad de los Andes. D.E.A y Doctor en Informática de l'Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble, Francia. Profesor Asociado del Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas y Computación de la Universidad de los Andes. Aparte de sus actividades de docencia y dirección de tesis de pregrado, maestría y doctorado, es director del grupo COMIT de la misma universidad, cuyo uno de sus temas principales de investigación son los sistemas distribuidos. Trabajo como consultor entre el 2001 y 2005 en ESILOG CONSULTING, Madrid, España en el área de tecnologías de la información.
Lidera diferentes actividades de grid y cloud computing no solamente a nivel universitario sino nacional (proyecto Grid Colombia) e incluso internacional representando a Colombia en un proyecto para el establecimiento de una plataforma de grid entre Europa y Latinoamérica (proyecto GISELA). Participa en diferentes proyectos con organizaciones nacionales principalmente en temas de arquitectura tecnológica. Sus intereses son los sistemas distribuidos, particularmente Grid y Cloud Computing así como la computación móvil.
Ha publicado un libro titulado: Scientific Computing as a Service, y dos capítulos de libros. Su contribución científica incluye también 44 trabajos de investigación presentados en conferencias nacionales e internacionales y 15 artículos en revistas científicas.
Ing. Dinael Guevara Ibarra PhD.
Dinale Guevara Ibarra. IEEE Senior Member, es Ingeniero Eléctrico de la Universidad Industrial de Santader (UIS), con una Especialización en Tele-Informática de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, un Magíster en Ingeniería Electrónica de la Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica Antonio José de Sucre, Venezuela. Doctor en Ingeniería de la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Es profesor de la Universidad Fracisco de Paula Santander en áreas de sistemas de comunicación, teoría de antenas, líneas de transmisión, telecomunicaciones, señales y sistemas, y dispositivos de circuitos de microondas. También es el Directo del Programa de Ingeniería Electrónica y del Grupo de Investigación en Telecomunicaciones de la misma Universidad.
Es un miembro IEEE dedicado a colaborar en las actividades estudiantiles de la Rama Estudiantil IEEE de la Universidad Francisco José de Paula. Es el profesor consejero de la Rama y del Capítulo Estudiantil de Comunicaciones.
Su contribución científica recae en la publicación de 8 trabajos de investigación presentados en conferencias nacionales e internacioonales y 1 artículo en revistas científicas.
